Vacancy for Parish Clerk and RFO
Everleigh Parish Council is an active Council that seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to take on the combined post of Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO).
The post is part time, 8.5 hours per month. Working mainly from home, the hours of work are flexible except for travel to and attendance at meetings.
The starting salary for this post will be on the NALC (National Association of Local Councils) pay scale SCP14 (£14.21) and SCP16 (£14.70) and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
The Clerk must be IT literate and must be able to store a small amount of Council files securely at their home address. The Clerk must also be available to attend Council meetings in the evening, normally on the Tuesday of every other month at 7:00pm.
Duties will include acting as the Proper Officer to the Council, compiling the agenda, minute taking, compilation of correspondence, filing and the maintenance of simple financial and payroll accounts.
Prior relevant experience would be an advantage, but training in all aspects of local government administration, leading to CiLCA qualification, can be provided.

Interviews are planned to be held during the week Monday 22nd April – Friday 26th April 2024.
The starting date is planned to be Monday 6th May 2024 in order to allow for briefing, handover and transport of materials from the current Parish Clerk, prior to assuming the role on Tuesday 21st May.
