The Trowbridge Christmas Lights Switch On event promises to be a truly festive and enjoyable evening for the whole family. This year the event will be slightly different! Due to the increasing number of people attending the event and the need to maintain strict health and safety guidelines, the Christmas Lights Switch-On and Lantern Parade will now take place in Trowbridge Park only. This will allow more people to attend! Lights will still be up around the town as in previous years, and the Switch-On will turn lights on in the town and Trowbridge Park simultaneously.

The highlight of the event will be a spectacular lantern parade, which starts at 6pm, where a multitude of willow lanterns will be paraded through Trowbridge Park – please note: the parade will not go into the town this year.

This mesmerising display will be accompanied by the captivating beats of Jamma de Samba, creating a truly unforgettable spectacle. Alongside our lantern parade, there will be mini fairground rides and games for little ones from Jennings Fun Fair, tasty hot food from The Pasty Cove and Veli’cious, and festive stalls at the Civic Christmas Market.

A dazzling performance by Rock Choir will lead us into our countdown, with our Town Mayor, Stephen Cooper, Town Crier, Trevor Heeks, and town mascot, Trowbridge Ted, pushing the button to turn on the lights and set off the fireworks!

Kick off your holiday season at the Trowbridge Christmas Lights Switch-On. Join us for a festive evening and make some great memories with family and friends!
